Privacy Policy
Orchard Foundry LLC ("we," "us," or "our") built Second Look. We collect only the data we need to make the app work and improve it — nothing more.
Second Look is local-first. By default, your recordings and session content stay on your device and are never transmitted to us. Any future cloud features will be clearly described and opt-in.
1. What we collect

2. What we don't collect today
Second Look is a local-first app. By default, your recordings and session content never leave your device. We do not currently collect:
- Video footage or frames from your recordings.
- Markers, clips, or session names.
- Information about athletes, subjects, or venues in your recordings.
If we ever introduce optional features that involve uploading content (such as cloud backup or sync), we will describe exactly what is collected and why, and those features will always be opt-in.
3. How we use your data
We use the information we collect solely to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Verify your subscription when you use the app on any of your devices.
- Send you transactional emails about your subscription (receipts, renewals, changes).
- Respond to support requests you initiate.
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Third-party services
Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play, depending on the platform you use. Each platform's own privacy policy governs any data collected during payment. We receive only confirmation that a purchase was made — not your payment details.
We may use a minimal backend infrastructure provider to run our subscription verification service. Any provider we use is contractually obligated to process your data only on our behalf and not to use it for their own purposes.
5. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep it longer by law (for example, transaction records).
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect the account data we do hold, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these responsibilities seriously and limit who can access your data internally.
7. Children
Second Look is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to request a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we'll notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects when it was last updated.
